Following the announcement yesterday by the EFA that the preferred site for the new Saddleworth School is the former W H Shaw site at Diggle, Debbie Abrahams MP has today provided Saddleworth News with an exclusive statement.
Debbie told Saddleworth News: “I’m glad the EFA have finally announced their preferred option. I look forward to reading the report when I receive it. As I have always maintained our priority should be to deliver a school that is fit for our young people in the 21st century.”

Excellent news for Diggle. Now let’s crack on and demand a school that the local community deserves. We should all get together on this and push for nothing but the very best in 21st century design, an example of high quality sustainable architecture that will inspire students for years to come.
