Delph And Dobcross Run Riot In T20
Delph and Dobcross made a winning start in this season’s Twenty 20 Cup last night, with a crushing 66-run victory over Barkisland. Even though the opening pool match was shortened to 14 overs a side because of bad light, there was still time for D&D professional Bilal Khiljee to smash a century.
D&D batted first in the gloomy conditions, and scored a remarkable 211/4. Khiljee finished unbeaten on 121 off just 42 balls, and his innings included nine fours and 11 sixes.
Barkisland were never going to reach such an imposing target, but scored a respectable 145/7 from their 14 overs. The next pool matches take place next Tuesday.
