Diggle End Season In Second
Diggle finished the season in 2nd place in Division One of football’s Huddersfield and District League. They won their last game 5-1 on Thursday away to Moldgreen, to finish ahead of Lepton Highlanders on goal difference.
Uppermill also won their last match, 8-1 against Hepworth on Saturday. That was enough to secure 5th place in the table. Newsome took the title comfortably in the end, by a full 13 points from Diggle.

Meanwhile, Springhead’s 1-0 win away to Atherton Town on Saturday was enough to see them finish 6th in the Manchester League. AVRO took the title by a single point from Wythenshawe Amateurs.
