Dramatic Image Of A62 Crash Rescue
The second casualty is removed from her vehicle.
This is the moment one of the casualties of Thursday’s crash on the A62 Huddersfield Road was moved to safety from her stricken vehicle. The dramatic picture was sent in by a Saddleworth News reader.
Two women were injured in the smash, which happened shortly before 5pm. The fire brigade had to cut them out of an Audi, which had collided with a BMW above Diggle. One of the women suffered a suspected broken shoulder.
The photo clearly shows the incident took place in misty and wet conditions, although it’s not known yet whether that was a factor.
