First Point Of The Season For Mossley

Mossley got off the mark for the season in the Evo Stik League Division One North on Saturday. But they were eventually held to a 1-1 draw at Warrington, having led for much of the game.

Ben Richardson gave Mossley the lead after just eight minutes, scoring with a shot from 20 yards out. According to the report on Mossley website, the visitors had looked the more likely to score again when Warrington produced an equaliser on 74 minutes, Chris Gahgan scoring with a header.

Mossley are now 20th in the table, which is also fourth from bottom. They’re next in action on Tuesday night at Seel Park against fellow strugglers Radcliffe Borough, before Saturday’s FA Cup trip to Glossop.

The match report on the Mossley website is here, and there’s more information at the league website here.
