Further Unsettled Conditions – Thursday 13th May 2021 – Sunday 16th May 2021

Hi all,

Apologies for no weekly blog last week. From a dry, sunny April to a wet and cool May. Meh. The storm season has started early and there’s no sign of the weather improving any time soon. We could go the whole month without reaching 20°C.

Thundery Showers this week gave some dramatic photos

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with some bright spells. Showers likely into the afternoon, some locally heavy and possibly thundery. Light winds. Max 15°C

Friday: Another mostly cloudy day with some bright spells. Any showers will be well-scattered so a dry day expected for most. Max 14°C

Weekend: Unsettled.

Saturday: Cloudy with some light rain for the morning. This will clear away with bright spells and showers developed for the remainder of the day. Cooler and breezy. Max 12°C

Sunday: Sunny spells and showers. Some beefy with hail and thunder and lightning. Max 13°C

Outlook: Unfortunately, little change with the Jet Stream to our South, meaning we are on the cold side. Sunny spells and hefty thundery showers as low pressure controls our weather. No sign of any early-Summer heat.
