Grains Bar Restaurant Owner Fined Again

The owner of the Vamasaki restaurant at Grains Bar has been fined for failing to comply with planning regulations. It’s  the second time in less than a year that Jewel Miah has been successfully prosecuted by Oldham Council.

Mr Miah, of Shipla Close in Oldham, has been fined £1,040 along with £300 costs for his latest failure to give information about aspects of a planning development at the Ripponden Road premises, and for not adhering to rules about the storage of waste disposal bins.

Last April, he was fined £700, with £300 costs and a £15 victim surcharge, for similar breaches of the rules. According to a statement from the council, Mr Miah wasn’t at Oldham Magistrates Court to hear his sentence when it was handed down earlier this month.
