Dave Slater from local band Naughty Dog has been in touch to tell Saddleworth News about the recent gig they played at the Commercial in Uppermill.

If this picture’s anything to go by, it looks as though the crowd had a pretty good night!

Dave, who’s from Greenfield, plays bass. He’s joined by Karl Slingo of Lees on vocals and guitar, Keith Wright from Uppermill on lead guitar and backing vocals, and Mick Horton from Shaw on drums.

They’ve been together for about four years, and Dave says they’re currently doing about 30 gigs a year, mostly in the Oldham and Saddleworth areas but sometimes further afield. Last Saturday, they were at the Wharfside in Slaithwaite.

A review of the Commercial gig penned by one of their fans does a good job of selling them: “Successfully hitting the high notes like Matt Bellamy of Muse is no mean feat, yet the lead singer of this band has got the wow factor, with a voice that can give any of the professionals a run for their money. If you haven’t been to see Naughty Dog, the tickets are priced at, well, nothing, and they are well worth every penny you won’t have spent.”

Naughty Dog is on Facebook here and MySpace here.
