Look through the Advent Window in Delph

A few weeks ago I asked whether people would be interested in doing a living Advent Calendar. I’m pleased to say we got lots of lovely volunteers to help. So on Tuesday Delph’s first Advent Calendar goes live!

Every night between the 1st and 24th December there will be a new window illuminated with a Christmas display somewhere in the village. They should be lit up between 1530 and 2130. To make our advent calendar a little different, each window will have a letter to be collected. Once you have all 24 letters you will be able to rearrange them into a Christmas phrase. Anyone who guesses the correct phrase and posts their entry into the box in the coop or post office before 1st January will be entered into a draw for a prize (aimed at children).

Attached is the list of where to find the windows each night. This sheet can also be collected from the CO-OP or Post Office, and there should be a copy on the Community and Church noticeboards.

I hope you enjoy the Delph Advent Calendar. Many thanks to everyone involved in creating the festive windows, and also to Erica and the team in Uppermill who inspired us with their great advent calendars over the past few years.
