Man Arrested After Windows Smashed At Tesco Greenfield

A man was arrested yesterday after windows were smashed at the Tesco supermarket in Greenfield. The incident happened at about 7:30am.
According to a witness, the suspect used a hammer to smash the windows at the front of the store, and told passers-by that he wanted to return to prison. He then waited at the corner of the car park where police detained him.
It being a Sunday the shop wasn’t open at the time, and no members of staff or the public were injured. The police said the man remained in custody this morning.
