Mossley Draw At Fancied Fylde

Mossley almost sprung a major surprise on Tuesday night in their Evo Stik League Division One North match at AFC Fylde, one of the sides tipped for promotion.

But after taking a two-goal lead, Mossley were pegged back and the match finished 2-2.

The goals for Mossley came from Nick Swirad and Alex Byrne, the latter a screamer from 30 yards. Fylde pulled one back through Glenn Steel, before a deflected shot from Mike Barnes on 85 minutes ensured the draw.

Since their opening day defeat at Ossett, Mossley had drawn with Witton Albion and been soundly beaten 4-0 by Woodley Sports, so they’re currently fourth-from-bottom of the table on two points.
