Mossley Move Up
Mossley are up to 10th in the Evo Stik League Division One North, following two victories in the past week.
Last Tuesday they triumphed 4-1 away at Trafford, with goals from Mike Oates, Kristian Dennis, Danny Egan and Mike Fish. You can see a match report here.
There was another comfortable victory on Saturday, as Mossley beat Harrogate Railway Athletic 3-0 at Seel Park. Matty Kay scored twice, with Dennis getting the other. There’s a report here.
Mossley are now firmly established in the top half of the table and are well in contention for a play-off place. The table can be viewed at the league’s website here.
Meanwhile, Manchester League side Springhead suffered a cup defeat on Saturday. They were beaten 2-1 by Hollinwood in the Gilgryst Cup.
There was also cup disappointment for Diggle of the Huddersfield League. They lost 3-2 to Netherton in their Barlow Cup tie at Churchill Playing Fields.
