Mountain Rescue Help Find Missing Man

A team from Oldham Mountain Rescue was today involved in the search for a man who had gone missing in Middleton. The man turned up safe at lunchtime.

The 40-year-old was reported missing last night, from an address on Banbury Road in Middleton. Mountain rescue teams from both Oldham and Bolton were contacted at 5 o’clock this morning and asked to help the police.

A total of 13 members of the Oldham team, which is based in Uppermill, took part, along with 11 of their colleagues from Bolton.

The man was found safe and well at 12:20pm.
