Police Attend Stand-Off On Delph New Road

Police were called to Delph New Road this afternoon, to deal with reports of a confrontation at a kitchens business.

A witness who passed by at about 5pm told Saddleworth News several police vehicles were at the scene, outside FDK. He said that two groups of men appeared to be involved in a stand-off.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police confirmed that officers had been alerted about an hour earlier, shortly before 4pm, by a member of the public who had heard shouting.

Police found four men apparently trying to repossess a vehicle belonging to FDK. Describing the incident as a “civil matter” the spokesman said police were satisfied that no breach of the peace had occurred, and would not be taking any further action.

Nobody from FDK could be reached for comment.

I heard about this earlier from someone working next door who told me that these gorillas just came in demanding all the keys to all the cars in all the car parks, then tried to get violent. This sort of action is not a civil matter, it is legalised thuggery, and the police wouldn’t get involved because they would actually have to do something.
