Saddleworth Basks In Sunshine

It’s been the warmest day of the year so far in Saddleworth. The official temperature has been recorded at 24C, although with relatively still conditions it feels even hotter than that in the sun.

This picture of the park down by the river in Uppermill was taken this afternoon by Rick Lees, bass player with top local band Twisted Wheel. He posted it on his Twitter account, which you can see here.

The good news is the dry and sunny weather should continue for the next few days at least, although it won’t be quite as warm as today.
