Several Weather Warnings in force – Thursday 29th October 2020 – Sunday 1st November 2020

Hi all,

We’ve had typical autumnal weather this week with breezy conditions and rain at times and it’s not going to get any better in the short-term. If anything, worse.

**3 Weather warnings in place** – Thursday 9am, pretty much all the way through to Sunday 23:59.

Thu/Fri: Met Office warning for heavy rain affecting the region. Further warnings on Twitter, @ChadWeather.

Thursday: You might be lucky to start dry but rain, heavy at times will arrive from the southwest. It will be breezy at times and with this airflow comes not only a lot moisture but milder air. Max 14°C

A wet Thursday with the highest totals on the hills

Friday: Rain continuing on and off for the day as pulses arrive from the southwest. A very mild day and remaining breezy. Max 15°C

Weekend: Very windy with further showers.

Saturday: Cloudy with rain spreading east during the day followed by showers. Winds increasing with gale-force gusts likely. Mild once again. Max 15°C

Sunday: Yep you’ve guessed it, another area of rain from the west swings through but this time quickly with bright spells and showers following. Turning cooler and very windy with 35-40mph gusts. Max 12°C

Around 2 inches of rain, locally more, between now and Monday.

Outlook: Wet and windy to start but high pressure has the chance to build to our southwest from midweek turning the weather more settled, calmer and drier. We’ll certainly need it after a week of rain with localised flooding possible.

Thanks,

Jon
