Sixth Defeat In A Row For Mossley

Mossley’s disappointing run of form continued on Saturday, as they were beaten 3-1 at home by Chorley in the Evo Stik League Division One North.

Matty Kay scored Mossley’s goal from the penalty spot. But it wasn’t enough to prevent a sixth league defeat in succession.

You can read a match report here. Mossley are 13th in the 23-team table, and you can view that here.

Springhead also suffered a home defeat on Saturday in the Manchester League. They went down 1-0 to Wythenshawe Amateurs, leaving them 12th in the table, which you can take a look at here.

But there was better news for Uppermill as they won their Barlow Cup First Round tie 2-1 against Holmbridge. There’s a detailed report of the game on the Uppermill website here. They’ll take on Hepworth in the next round this coming Saturday.
