Snooker Sean’s Saddleworth Silliness!

Sean Meo.

Off The Rails Comedy Club has it’s first show of 2013 with a couple of old favourites and an immensely popular act new to Saddleworth’s comedy fans on Sunday 27th January.

Ian Cognito.

Sean Meo was a pro snooker player before turning to stand up! First time at OTR and we’re well chuffed!

“Intelligent material with a speed that many other comics can only gasp at” Time Out, “Truly hilarious”, The Scotsman.

As an Irish Italian Englishman, Ian Cognito believes he has the right to have a go at anyone and anything. Massive portions of anger and self-doubt are the stuff of Cognito’s act. He is one of the best comics of the national circuit, a veteran. He clearly knows what he’s doing as he spits his darkly humourous vitriol over an unsuspecting crowd. An outspoken, opinionated yet totally clued up man, Ian’s take on the world will have you convinced and convulsed with laughter.

“The man who does to comedy what Jaws does to swimming. The audience fell about. I wouldn’t like to be his enemy”, The Daily Star.

Mick Ferry.

Compering the show Oldham’s own Mick Ferry who is a familiar face on our screens from his performances on ‘Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow’ and Ken Loache’s ‘Looking for Eric’. He has just reappeared later this month on John Bishop’s new Sky 1 series.

Interestingly enough, Bishop has described him as “the one comedian I would still pay to see.”

Date: Sun 27th January, admission is £8 with advance tickets strongly recommended, either from the venue at the Royal George, Manchester Rd, Greenfield OL3 7HX.
