Lees Village Service Station, the Gulf-branded forecourt situated on St John Street, Lees is hosting its Charity Day on Sunday 11 September and everyone is welcome.
Owned by Frank Pullen for over 20 years and run by three generations of his family, the Gulf site is proud of its close links with the community and the popularity of its annual charity day.
“Last year our customers raised £600 for Macmillan from our cake bake and this year we are hoping to raise over £700,” confirms Sue Collinge, Frank’s daughter.
Sue, her two sons and daughter-in-law’s and all the staff will be involved on the big day as they raise funds for two local charities, The Kingfisher Community Special School and Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.
“We have fantastic customers who are always there to support us,” explains Sue. “It will be great fun with giveaways and a prize draw with over 30 prizes, all generously donated by our suppliers and local businesses.”
“On the day the girls of the family will be washing cars by hand, the boys selling cakes and of course it goes without saying that every motorist will be offered good old fashioned attended service at the pumps.”
The Lees Village Service Station Charity day will take place on Sunday 11 September between midday and 3pm. Prize Draw raffle tickets are now available on site.
