Family’s Tribute To Man Killed On Whit Friday

Relatives of the man who died after he was run over by a coach in Greenfield on Whit Friday have described him as “irreplaceable.” Alan Chamberlain, who was 57, was hit by the vehicle at about 10pm, and passed away in hospital the following morning.

Mr Chamberlain lived in Hyde, although he was born in Mossley and spent most of his life there. His eight-year-old son Zac, who was also hit by the coach, is recovering from serious bruises.

A statement from Mr Chamberlain’s family has been published today on the Oldham Advertiser website. It calls him as an “incredibly sociable man, who made friends wherever he went.”
