Here are some photos of last Friday’s Old Thyme Ball, held at the Civic Hall in Uppermill in aid of the Saddleworth Parish Council Chairman’s charities.

This year’s Chairman, Cllr Bill Cullen, has selected three main good causes for his 12 months in office. The charities fund research into multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and osteo-arthritis.

The pictures of the event were sent in by the Vice Chairman, Cllr Ken Hulme. The one at the top features Cllr Hulme dancing with fellow councillor Enid Firth, who also happens to be Cllr Cullen’s consort! She apparently survived the experience.

Apparently this is Delph's answer to the Bullingdon Club!

The fun continued at other local hostelries.
